The Prime Minister discussed with Edelweiss Group AG the creation of a special economic zone based on the Mailuu-Suu lamp factory

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, held a meeting with representatives of Edelweiss Group AG. The parties discussed the possibility of attracting international investors to finance infrastructure projects of national importance in the country.

The talks focused on the participation of private individuals and legal entities from European countries in banking and corporate projects, including the development of a free economic zone and Edelweiss Bank. Particular attention was paid to the creation of a FEZ on the site of the Mailuu-Suu Lamp Factory. It is planned to introduce European technologies in the processing industry and energy sector.

Following the meeting, the head of the Cabinet of Ministers emphasised Kyrgyzstan's readiness to cooperate with foreign investors in compliance with national legislation and instructed the relevant state bodies to work on the proposals made during the negotiations.
