September 4, 2024, 10:57 AM - The State Tax Service of the Kyrgyz Republic collected 187 billion 718.5 million soms in taxes and insurance contributions from January to August 2024. The established plan was exceeded by 7 billion soms. Compared to the same period in 2023, the amount collected increased by 29.7 billion soms. Of the total amount collected, 138 billion 926.6 million soms are taxes and payments, while 48 billion 792 million soms are insurance contributions. Taxes and payments surpassed the plan by 586 million soms and increased by 22.3 billion soms compared to the first eight months of 2023. Additionally, the plan for insurance contributions was exceeded by 6 billion 327 million soms, which is 7.3 billion soms more than the amount collected from January to August 2023. Notably, the enhancement of tax administration and the implementation of digital tools that enable the monitoring and analysis of various economic sectors, as well as creating comfortable conditions for taxpayers, contributed to the increased efficiency in tax collection.
