Kyrgyzstan's mining industry earned more than 8 billion KGS in profit

Mining companies remain one of the key sources of income in the real sector of Kyrgyzstan's economy. In January–June, the industry's total financial result amounted to 8.2 billion KGS , and the profit of profitable companies was almost 10 billion KGS.

The main share of this was provided by metal ore mining, which generated more than 7.7 billion KGS in profit, accounting for over 85% of the sector's total result. In second place was crude oil and natural gas production, which brought in almost 1.01 billion KGS.

However, not all enterprises in the sector made a profit. The total loss of unprofitable companies in the sector amounted to 1.67 billion KGS. The largest negative result was achieved by hard coal and brown coal mining enterprises, with more than 610 million KGS.

Despite these losses, the combined profits of profitable mining companies offset the losses of unprofitable companies and maintained a positive balance.
