The State Tax Service has reduced the tax base on onion imports

The State Tax Service has updated the list of goods subject to VAT at the established tax base that are considered risky. The list has been updated based on requests from entrepreneurs involved in importing products from EAEU countries.

According to the updated list, the tax base for calculating VAT on onion imports has been revised downward. Before the change, the tax base was 30.2 KGS per kilogram, and after the change, it is 10.41 KGS. In other words, the tax base has decreased by 65.5%. This should be reflected in the final price of the product.

The tax base for leeks and other bulbous vegetables was also reduced from 96.7 to 21.7 KGS per kilogram (-77.6%).

Other socially significant goods, such as potatoes, carrots, cabbage, garlic, cucumbers, eggplants, berries, and fruits, remained unchanged (the old and new values are the same).

The current document is available on the State Tax Service website in the “Knowledge Base”/“Eurasian Economic Union” section.
