10/25/2026, 15:32Starting November 1, 2026, new entry rules for Kyrgyz citizens traveling to Egypt will take effect. Tourists between the ages of 16 and 40 traveling through tour companies will need to be accompanied by a close relative and carry at least $3,000 in cash per person.
This was announced by the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For families traveling together, the minimum amount of cash is $5,000 per family. Those planning to travel independently must apply for a visa in advance through the Egyptian Embassy in Astana or another authorized diplomatic mission, as well as obtain prior approval from Egyptian security authorities.
In addition, travel agencies must register travelers’ phone numbers, prepare an itinerary, and submit tourists’ passports for safekeeping before they leave the country.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs recommends checking the current requirements before purchasing tickets. The new rules will remain in effect until further notice.
