The authorities say that the changes are meant to cut red tape, standardize requirements, and simplify procedures in the notary field.
One of the key changes is that you no longer need to provide documents showing that your place meets health, fire, and electrical standards. Before, notaries couldn't start working without these documents.
Previously, in order to work, a notary had to collect and submit certificates from the sanitary and epidemiological service, firefighters, and electricians to government agencies, but now this is no longer necessary. At the same time, responsibility for violating fire and electrical safety rules, as well as sanitary and epidemiological rules, norms, and hygiene standards, lies with the notary.
