Ticket prices on the platform have remained unchanged since sales began. However, it is still possible to pay less. Partners and other ticket operators offer their own discounts, while banks provide cashback and installment plans.
According to GovTicket, a significant portion of the seats have already been sold, and the number of available seats is dwindling. Don’t count on getting in for free either.
The organizers warn that spectators without valid concert tickets will not be admitted.
At the same time, a single official price does not mean the same cost for all buyers. GovTicket does not interfere with its partners’ pricing policies, so the final cost depends on where you buy the ticket and how you pay for it.
The desire to attend a performance by a global superstar has clashed with the limits of personal budgets. On social media, users asked their followers to help with ticket purchases and started fundraising campaigns. Banks responded to such requests with offers to take out a loan, spread the payment over several months, or refund a portion of the amount spent.
A prime example is MBANK, which leveraged the interest in Shakira to promote several products at once. The bank was among the first to respond to public demand. On September 29, it was announced that Shakira would give a concert in Bishkek, and by October 2, the bank’s customers had received a newsletter: “Loca-loca-loca! Shakira in Bishkek.” The bank offered its customers an online loan of up to 200,000 KGS to purchase a ticket.
Later, the bank’s offers included cashback and discounts for purchases made through MTicket. Thus, a single concert served as an opportunity to promote loans, the M+ installment plan, and the ticketing service within the banking app.
Today, October 15, MBANK announced discounts on tickets via MTicket.
The day before, the bank announced a 9% cashback when paying via MBANK and 7% via M+.
O!Market announced today a one-day 30% discount on dance floor tickets, allowing customers to purchase a ticket for 18,900 KGS instead of 27,000.
The bank also offers the option to spread the cost of the ticket over six equal monthly payments.
For those willing to pay for a concert ticket in full and immediately through the bank’s app, it promises up to 10% cashback. However, this is not returned in cash but as bonuses for mobile service, internet, and other services within the bank’s app.
Eldik Bank, on the other hand, has announced 1% cashback for ticket purchases on ticket.gov.kg made with the bank’s Visa or Mastercard. Separately, it is promoting ticket purchases through ElTicket in the Eldik app.
There’s also a chance to win a ticket. “Kompanion” has announced a drawing for three tickets among customers who make payments in the app from October 1 through 15.
The buzz surrounding Shakira has given banks a specific consumer demand—people want to attend the concert—and the banks have turned it into a promotion for their services.
