Imports of spirits into Kyrgyzstan have more than doubled

Imports of spirits into Kyrgyzstan rose sharply at the start of 2026 – this year, shipments began arriving from Belarus.

According to data from the National Statistics Committee for January–February 2026, imports of spirits into Kyrgyzstan amounted to 150,500 litres, worth $487,800. This is more than double the volume compared to last year.

Main suppliers:

  • Russia — 138,400 litres worth $469,900, an almost twofold increase in volume;
  • Belarus — 12,100 litres worth $17,900, whereas there were no supplies a year earlier.

In monetary terms, total imports rose by 3.7%, whilst in physical volume they more than doubled.

The growth in imports of spirits is linked to changes in the structure of supplies within the EAEU and the emergence of new market participants.
