Food prices in Kyrgyzstan – what has gone up and what has gone down

Changes in food prices have been recorded in Kyrgyzstan: some goods have become cheaper, whilst vegetables and certain types of oil have become more expensive.

According to monitoring data from the Ministry of Agriculture as of 22 April, there have been minor fluctuations in the prices of staple foods across the country.

Among the goods that have become more expensive:

  • carrots by 0.3%
  • refined sunflower oil by 0.1%

Meanwhile, a number of products have become cheaper:

  • eggs by 2.5%
  • butter by 1.7%
  • grade 1 wheat flour (imported) by 1.4%
  • A slight decrease in prices was also recorded for bakery products, milk, meat and sugar — within the range of 0.1–0.3%.
