Inflation in Kyrgyzstan accelerated to 8.3% over the eleven months

The National Statistical Committee reported an 8.3% increase in consumer prices and tariffs in the republic for January–November this year compared to December 2024. The price increase affected all major product groups.

Food products and non-alcoholic beverages rose the most in price, by 8.9%. Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products rose by 7.9%, and non-food products by 7%. Tariffs for services provided to the population rose the most significantly, by 9.1%.

Price increases were recorded in all regions of the country, but the most significant changes were observed in the southern capital.

Osh became the leader in terms of overall consumer price growth, at 10.7%, which was facilitated by an increase in the cost of non-food goods. The highest increase in the cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages was recorded in the Chui region, at 12%. The highest increase in prices for alcohol and tobacco products was recorded in the Issyk-Kul region — 14.2%.

At the same time, tariffs for services increased most noticeably in the Talas region, where they rose by 10.6%.

According to the agency, inflationary pressure persists in all segments of the consumer market. At the same time, price growth rates vary depending on the regional structure of supply and demand.
