    Orta Asya Investment will build a 250 MW combined electric power plant in Bishkek

    The ceremony of signing an investment agreement with the open joint-stock company Orta Asya Investment Holding on the fuel and energy complex (FEC) was held in the capital's City Hall with the participation of Mayor Aibek Junushaliev.

    The project objective is to build and operate a combined cycle electric power plant of more than 250 MW capacity on the territory of TPP-2 in Bishkek. The amount of the investment agreement is $300 mln.
    The project will not only become the basis for the modernization of the capital's energy infrastructure but will also contribute to the new job creation.

    It is important to note that the company Orta Asya Investment Holding undertook to build at its own expense a power transmission line to the substation “Ala-Archa”, as well as to lay a heat line of at least 10 km in length to connect hot water supply and heating to the central system of Bishkek.
