In the spring, wheat, barley and Iceberg lettuce were sown on this land.
Currently, 10 hectares of the plot are allocated for wheat, 9 hectares for barley and 2 hectares for iceberg lettuce, using a drip irrigation system.
According to farmers, the climatic conditions of the Kochkor district are very suitable for growing iceberg lettuce, and it can be harvested three times a year. There is high demand for this lettuce on the international market, with an average price of $1 per kilogram. The weight of one head of iceberg lettuce reaches 800 grams. The projected harvest this year is about 8 tonnes. The harvested crop has already begun to be exported abroad.
This initiative contributes significantly to the development of local agriculture, the efficient use of arable land and the opening of new export opportunities.
