05/07/2025, 16:20Preparations have begun for the implementation of a large-scale project to build an underground passage and car park at the intersection of Chui Avenue and Shopokova Street in Bishkek. From 9 May 2025, at 10 p.m., traffic will be completely closed on the section of Chui Avenue from Abdrakhmanova Street to Ibraimova Street.
In connection with this, the traffic pattern of some bus routes will change during the construction period in the specified area.
Routes No. 7, 34, 38, and 166 at the intersection of Abdrakhmanov Street and Ibraimova Street will be redirected to Zhumabek Street. At the same time, routes No. 5, 11, 16, 21, 25, 36, 50, 104, 129, 135, 152, 169, 216, 222, 227 and 254 at the same intersection will be temporarily rerouted along Kievskaya Street.
The traffic light cycle will also be adjusted to the traffic situation, which will help reduce congestion.
The project, implemented on the basis of private investment by the Tashbolot holding company, involves the complete opening of the road, so the work will take about 6-8 months, and the total budget will be 2 billion KGS.
