Worn-out equipment costs farmers 7 billion soms - Minvodselprom

The resource of agricultural machinery in Kyrgyzstan is almost exhausted, and its replacement is becoming critically necessary. This was reported in the Ministry of Water and Agriculture.

Due to the high degree of wear and tear, farmers are forced to spend significant funds on repair and maintenance. Farmers overpay up to 129.2 thousand soms per season for one tractor alone, and up to 210.6 thousand soms for one combine harvester. In general, with the use of 70% of worn-out equipment, the additional costs of farmers exceed 7 billion soms.

The Ministry notes that new high-tech machinery, equipment and lines are needed for the developing agro-industrial sector. In addition, agricultural producers need transport vehicles of small capacity - both for work in the field and for delivery of products to warehouses, markets and logistics centers.
