12/26/2025, 10:35The Cabinet of Ministers has decided to extend the New Year holidays in 2026 until January 12. The corresponding resolution was adopted with the aim of strengthening the institution of the family and creating conditions for parents and children to spend time together.
According to the document, January 8 and 9, 2026, have been declared additional days off for employees of state and municipal institutions, organizations, and enterprises financed from the state budget.
Heads of privately owned legal entities are advised to take this decision into account when organizing the work process.
The resolution comes into force on January 1, 2026. Thus, after the New Year holidays, the working week will begin on January 12.
