10/06/2026, 13:13The Cabinet of Ministers has amended the list of information constituting a state secret in Kyrgyzstan.
According to Resolution No. 662 of 5 October, new state bodies and departments have been added to the list in two sections. The amendments have been made to Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 206 of 26 April 2024, which approved the list of bodies authorised to classify information as a state secret and the list of key information constituting state secrets.
The list also includes the Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industries and the Ministry of Energy. This means that information relating to the activities of these departments and falling within the specified categories may be classified as state secrets. However, the decree does not specify exactly which data is subject to classification.
The resolution was adopted to improve the legal framework governing the protection of state secrets.
The document will come into force 10 days after its official publication.
