The market capitalisation of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange soared by 77 billion KGS in a single day — the market has recovered from its decline

The market capitalisation of the Kyrgyz Stock Exchange approached the 300 billion KGS mark in a single day.

As of 1 April, it stood at 293.55 billion KGS, compared to 216.35 billion the previous day. The increase amounted to over 77 billion KGS.

At the same time, the KSE index rose sharply — from 6,155.87 to 8,423.76 points, gaining 26.92% in a single day.

However, judging by the trends of recent months, the market had been in decline: following peak levels in the autumn, the downturn began in November and continued into early 2026. Market capitalisation then fell to around 216–220 billion KGS.

The sharp rise in early April effectively offset the previous fall and may indicate a revaluation of assets or individual large transactions that affected the overall market volume.
