08/09/2025, 12:07Today, August 8, President Sadyr Zhaparov familiarized himself with the results of the major repair and modernization of the main building of the Issyk-Kul Bus Station branch in Karakol.
During his working visit to Karakol in May 2024, the Head of State instructed to carry out major repairs and comprehensive renovation of the bus station, which has been in operation since 1988.
Today, the Issyk-Kul Bus Station can handle 500 to 1,000 passengers a day and serves 76 routes: one international, 16 interregional, 17 inter-city within the region, as well as 42 suburban and district destinations.
During the major renovation, the roof was replaced, engineering networks were updated, modern interior decoration was carried out, new windows and doors were installed, an LED screen and a broadcasting network were installed, the facade of the building was renovated, and the territory was landscaped.
At the same time, the Ministry of Transport and Communications is paving the bus station territory.
President Sadyr Zhaparov expressed his hope that after the completion of all works, the Karakol bus station will become a modern, functional, and comfortable transport hub that meets high standards of service for the population and guests of the region.
