Kasymaliyev demanded that the problem of overpayments of VAT and other types of taxes be resolved.

The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic, Adylbek Kasymaliyev, took part in a meeting of the State Tax Service Commission, where the results of work for 2025 were presented.

According to the head of the Ministry of Taxation and Customs, last year the State Tax Service collected 391.8 billion KGS, exceeding the plan by 8.2 billion. The growth in revenue was facilitated by digitalization, simplification of tax administration, and improvement in the quality of services.

Adylbek Kasymaliyev noted that the country's budget has grown significantly in recent years. While Kyrgyzstan's GDP was $8.3 billion in 2020, it exceeded $22.6 billion in 2025. Tax revenues during this period increased approximately fourfold, customs revenues sixfold, and non-tax revenues eight to ninefold.

Economic growth was recorded in construction, trade, services, and agriculture. An additional factor was the rise in the price of gold, as a result of which revenues from Kumtor's activities exceeded $5 billion.

The head of the Cabinet emphasized that one of the key tasks set by the president for the current year is to increase the salaries of social workers. According to him, it is the tax service that must ensure sustainable financing for this and other priority tasks, including infrastructure projects and government measures.

At the same time, Kasymaliyev drew attention to the growth of tax arrears and the systematic increase in overpayments of VAT and other taxes. He demanded that these problems be resolved promptly.

The Prime Minister was also presented with the Tax Guard information system. Kasymaliyev instructed that it be finalized and launched in the near future.

In conclusion, he noted the need to work with maximum efficiency and professionalism, recalling the presentation of the Kyrgyzstan economic growth model “Ak Ilbirs,” recently presented at the World Government Summit in the UAE. Following the meeting, a number of State Tax Service employees were awarded.
