Kyrgyzstan consumes 1.6 million tonnes of fuel annually, 93% of which comes from Russia

According to official data, the annual consumption of fuel and lubricants in Kyrgyzstan is about 1.6 million tonnes. At the same time, 93% of the total volume is imported from the Russian Federation. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The agreed supply volumes for 2025 have not yet been fully met, but deliveries are continuing as usual and without interruption. At the same time, the parties are agreeing on new volumes for 2026.

The rise in petrol and diesel prices since mid-summer is linked to higher oil prices on the world market and repair work at Russian refineries. The temporary ban on petrol exports imposed by the Russian Federation on 27 August does not apply to EAEU countries, so Kyrgyzstan is receiving petroleum products in the agreed volumes.
