Kyrgyzstan is ready to give Italian businesses extra guarantees

On February 2, the Committee on International Affairs, Defense, Security, and Migration of the Jogorku Kenesh reviewed and approved in the first reading a bill on the ratification of the Agreement between Kyrgyzstan and Italy on the promotion and protection of investments.

The document was signed on May 30 last year in Astana. It aims to establish a legal framework for attracting foreign direct investment.

The bill was presented by Damirbek Bikulov, deputy director of the National Investment Agency under the President. According to him, the agreement provides for the creation of favorable conditions for foreign investors and reduces the risks associated with capital investment.

“The purpose of the agreement is to protect the rights and interests of investors by creating stable and transparent conditions for doing business,” the speaker noted.

During the discussion, MP Medina Kairylbekova emphasized the importance of providing legal guarantees to foreign investors when implementing projects in Kyrgyzstan.

It should be noted that if the document is finally adopted, Italian investors will receive additional guarantees for the protection of their capital.
