08/08/2026, 11:20OJSC ‘Electric Power Stations’ is continuing to prepare its hydroelectric power stations for the autumn–winter period of 2026–2027.
The work is being carried out in accordance with the approved action plan and is aimed at ensuring the reliable and uninterrupted operation of power generation facilities, as well as a stable electricity supply to consumers during periods of peak demand.
As part of these preparations, routine and major repairs are being carried out at the company’s facilities on hydro-units, generators, transformers and other key equipment, alongside repairs to outdoor switchgear, relay protection and automation systems, as well as measures to prepare production buildings, utility networks, heating systems, communications and motor vehicles for operation in winter conditions.
At the Toktogul hydroelectric power station cascade, routine and major repairs are being carried out on hydro-units, generators and transformers, as well as repairs to outdoor switchgear and relay protection and automation systems. Work is also being carried out to insulate production buildings and pipelines. At the Kurpsay Hydroelectric Power Station, equipment is being modernised, including the replacement of disconnectors and autotransformers. Particular attention is being paid to preparing communications systems, CCTV and motor vehicles for winter operation.
At the Tash-Kumyr hydroelectric power station cascade, repairs to the hydro-units and main equipment are continuing, as is the major overhaul of hydro-unit No. 2 at the Tash-Kumyr hydroelectric power station, and repairs to transformers and heating systems. Work is underway to clean the reservoir water areas and to insulate buildings, fire hydrants and pipelines. At the Uch-Kurgan Hydroelectric Power Station, the main work on the implementation of a water flow metering system is nearing completion.
At the Kambarata-2 Hydroelectric Power Station, routine repairs are being carried out on the hydro-unit, the transformer and the 110 kV switchgear equipment; thermal imaging inspections of the equipment are being conducted; heating systems are being inspected; and the heating system is being prepared for winter. Insulation work is being carried out on production buildings and pipelines. In addition, emergency response drills and staff training are being organised, and communications equipment and vehicles are being prepared for operation during the winter period.
At the At-Bashinskaya Hydroelectric Power Station, routine maintenance of generating units No. 1 and No. 3 has been completed. Major refurbishment of production premises is continuing, and improvements to the transformer station site have been carried out. Repairs to motor vehicles are also underway. The installation of an automatic fire alarm system has been completed.
OJSC ‘Electric Power Stations’ continues to implement the planned measures within the set deadlines. All work being carried out is aimed at improving the reliability of power generation equipment, ensuring its readiness for winter loads, and the stable operation of the hydroelectric power stations during the autumn–winter period of 2026–2027.
