Kyrgyzstan Prepares for a U.S. Aviation Safety Audit

Kyrgyzstan is preparing for an audit by the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). At the same time, the country is discussing cooperation in the field of civil aviation with the U.S. side. This was reported by the press service of the State Agency for Civil Aviation.

Issues of cooperation were discussed by Daniyar Bostanov, Director of the State Agency for Civil Aviation of Kyrgyzstan, and Russell Ryle, the FAA’s regional representative. The meeting took place in Astana as part of the International Civil Aviation Organization’s (ICAO) Aviation Safety Week.

The parties explored the possibility of holding technical consultations, exchanging expertise, and drafting a memorandum of understanding.

They also discussed the prospects for developing passenger and cargo air transport between Kyrgyzstan and the United States.
