01/16/2025, 15:17On 14 January, sector focal points of the involved government agencies met with representatives of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) head office in Bishkek as part of the Central Asia Regional Economic Cooperation (CAREC) secretariat mission.
In 2025, the chairmanship of the CAREC program will pass to Kyrgyzstan. In this regard, a consultation was held between Kyrgyz sector focal points and the ADB mission.
The main objective of the meeting was to discuss effective Kyrgyz chairmanship of CAREC in 2025. The event reviewed program priorities, potential flagship activities, and regional project portfolio development.
The meeting also discussed proposals for organizing and conducting high-level events, chairmanship initiatives, and sectoral and cross-cutting aspects of the program.
