Kyrgyzstan and China have signed more than 30 bilateral agreements — Kulubaev

As part of the state visit by Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, more than 30 bilateral agreements covering various areas of cooperation were signed. This was announced by Jeenbek Kulubaev, Kyrgyzstan’s Minister for Foreign Affairs.

Among the key outcomes of the talks, he highlighted a joint declaration on the high-quality development of a comprehensive strategic partnership in the new era and a treaty on eternal good-neighbourliness, friendship and cooperation.

According to the minister, the high level of political engagement enables the two countries to move towards larger-scale economic and infrastructure projects.

Kulubayev emphasised that the next stage should be the implementation of the signed documents and agreements.

“We have agreed that all key projects must have specific deadlines and designated responsible parties,” the Foreign Minister said.

The Kyrgyz side intends to ensure coordination between government bodies and maintain constant contact with its Chinese partners so that high-level agreements can be put into practice more swiftly.
