One in three Kyrgyz people realise that an employer is not the right fit for them even before applying for a vacancy

Most jobseekers in Kyrgyzstan assess an employer even before submitting their CV. At the same time, nearly a third realise that the job is not right for them after the interview or within the first few months of employment. These figures are provided by the HeadHunter Kyrgyzstan platform based on the results of a survey of more than 550 job seekers.

According to the study, 35 per cent of participants most often turn down a vacancy before even applying. A further 30 per cent realise that the company is not a good fit for them after the interview, whilst 27 per cent realise this within the first one to three months of employment.

A further 24 per cent of respondents make this decision after their first contact with an HR specialist. Only 4 per cent change their mind after receiving a job offer. Other reasons or stages were cited by 3 per cent of respondents.

In terms of the nature of their work, 70 per cent of respondents are primarily engaged in mental, office-based or intellectual work. The remaining 30 per cent work in the field of physical, manufacturing or practical labour.
