05/01/2025, 12:02A delegation from the Ministry of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, led by First Deputy Minister Manas Toktomuratov and Ministerial Adviser Elnura Boronbaeva, paid a working visit to the People's Republic of China to participate in the International Forum on Medical Innovation and Cooperation – 2025.
In the morning, the International Forum concluded in Fancangang, where representatives from Asian countries and other regions discussed key issues in the field of medical innovation, insurance and the digitalisation of healthcare systems.
In the afternoon, the delegation visited Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine in Nanning, where a ceremony was held to exchange signed copies of the Memorandum of Understanding between Guangxi University of Chinese Medicine and the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I.K. Akhunbaev.
During the event, Manas Toktomuratov delivered a speech emphasising the importance of deepening inter-university and scientific cooperation.
‘Today's meeting is of particular importance for the development of bilateral cooperation in the field of medicine and education. We are confident that initiatives such as the signing of the Memorandum between our universities will become a solid foundation for joint educational programmes, scientific research and the exchange of experience between students and teachers. This is an important step towards improving the quality of medical education and healthcare in our countries.’
The signed Memorandum provides for the implementation of joint scientific projects, academic exchanges, and the deepening of cooperation in the field of traditional Chinese medicine and general medical education. The document symbolises the mutual commitment of Kyrgyzstan and China to long-term humanitarian and professional partnership.
