08/07/2026, 10:01Around 40 agreements totalling $848.6 million were signed at the 8th Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum. The forum is taking place from 5 to 7 August at Issyk-Kul.
The package of documents includes investment agreements, memoranda and cooperation agreements between regions of Kyrgyzstan and Russia. Seven agreements are specifically dedicated to developing ties between the regions and cities of the two countries — ranging from trade and science to social and cultural projects.
A significant proportion of the agreements were concluded with the involvement of the Russian-Kyrgyz Development Fund. They cover industry, agriculture, transport, logistics, tourism, digitalisation and support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In particular, the RKDF plans to participate in a leasing programme for agricultural machinery assembled in Kyrgyzstan. Plans also include the development of rail container transport and the expansion of logistics infrastructure.
The announced projects include the construction of a second production line for basalt insulation, the establishment of a trout farm on Lake Issyk-Kul, and the development of domestic manufacturing and tourism infrastructure.
We would add that Akchabar previously reported that, following the plenary session ‘Strategic Partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia: Priorities – 2030’ at the Kyrgyz-Russian Economic Forum, seven agreements worth $545.5 million were signed.
