Kyrgyzstan and StoneX Group have signed two memoranda of understanding

On 21 September, as part of his working visit to the US, President Sadyr Japarov visited the New York office of the American financial group StoneX Group and met with the company’s management.

The parties discussed expanding cooperation in the trade of precious metals, price risk management, international settlements and the use of financial instruments. According to the Presidential Administration, Kyrgyzstan and StoneX Group already have a track record of cooperation in the field of international trade in precious metals.

During the meeting, Sadyr Zhaparov noted Kyrgyzstan’s interest in attracting American investment, technology and international expertise. Philip Smith, CEO of StoneX Group, in turn, stated the company’s readiness to expand its presence in the Kyrgyz market.

Following the meeting, two memoranda of understanding were signed: one between the Ministry of Finance of Kyrgyzstan and StoneX Group, and the other between Eldik Bank OJSC and StoneX Group.
