Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan discussed the development of trade links between the Batken and Sogd regions

In the Batken region, discussions were held on the prospects for expanding cooperation with Tajikistan, including the development of trade and economic ties between the border regions.

The meeting took place as part of a working visit by Nazarali Aripov, Kyrgyzstan’s Ambassador to Tajikistan. The talks were attended by Baktybek Toksonsbaev, First Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan in the Batken Region, and heads of the region’s law enforcement agencies.

The parties discussed strengthening friendly relations between the two countries, developing mutually beneficial cooperation, and ensuring stability and security in the border areas.
Particular attention was paid to the further implementation of the agreements and arrangements reached between Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.

Nazarali Aripov noted the development potential of the Batken Region and emphasised the importance of stepping up cooperation with Tajikistan, particularly in the trade sector. According to him, special attention is to be paid to cooperation between the Batken and Sughd regions.
