Kyrgyzstan to invest $1 million in the development of livestock farming technologies in partnership with South Korea

Kyrgyzstan will allocate $1 million to cooperation projects with South Korea in the field of livestock farming technologies. The funds will be provided by the National Investment Fund. This was reported by the South Korean news agency NewsPim.

A memorandum of cooperation was signed by representatives of the South Korean Rural Development Administration, the Kyrgyz Ministry of Water Resources, Agriculture and Processing Industry, and the National Investment Fund.

The project aims to develop agriculture and livestock farming using scientific and technological approaches. The parties intend to work towards improving the productivity and sustainability of the livestock sector.

The cooperation will also cover agricultural technologies and the institutional development of the sector.

The agreement forms part of a package of 18 cooperation documents signed by Kyrgyzstan and South Korea on 16 September as part of the summit between the two countries.

According to NewsPim, Kyrgyzstan expects that this cooperation will contribute to the development of related sectors of agriculture and livestock farming, as well as to an increase in the number of South Korean companies entering the Kyrgyz market.
