Kyrgyzstan is studying mechanisms for curbing price rises in Belarus

From 21 to 26 September 2026, an official delegation from Kyrgyzstan is on a working visit to Minsk. The main purpose of the trip is to study Belarus’s experience of state price regulation.

The inter-ministerial working group comprises representatives from the Presidential Administration, the Ministry of Economy and Trade, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Antimonopoly Regulation Service and the Department of Medicines and Medical Devices.

The Kyrgyz side is examining Belarus’s approaches to monitoring commodity markets, curbing price rises and protecting consumer interests.

Particular attention is being paid to the regulation of the cost of medicines, socially essential goods and other product categories.

As part of the visit, the delegation is holding working meetings with representatives of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade of Belarus and familiarising itself with practical mechanisms for ensuring price stability.
