07/21/2025, 12:31The documentary series Off Road, filmed in Kyrgyzstan by Faraway Road Productions with the support of Netflix, has been released on the international streaming platform Netflix.
The project was implemented in close cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Commerce, the Department of Tourism and the Tourism Development Support Fund of Kyrgyzstan, which were key partners in the filming.
The series follows an exciting road trip through the picturesque corners of Kyrgyzstan.
Viewers join the heroes of the project on a journey from Bishkek along unique routes: the high mountain valleys of Issyk-Kul, Karakol, and other distinctive regions of the country. Over the course of six episodes, viewers will discover not only the beauty of nature, but also the everyday life, culture, and traditional hospitality of the Kyrgyz people.
"We are very pleased that thanks to the release of the Off Road series, millions of people around the world will be able to learn about the beauty of Kyrgyz nature and the traditional hospitality of our people. We are grateful to the production company and Netflix for choosing Kyrgyzstan as the location for filming. Next year, several films and series promoting the country's tourism potential are also expected to be released on Netflix and other global platforms," emphasised Deputy Prime Minister Edil Baysalov.
The series has become not just a journey on screen, but a real invitation for an international audience to discover Kyrgyzstan as a new tourist destination.
It is noted that the series Off Road is already available on Netflix for an international audience.
