02/16/2026, 15:12According to the National Statistics Committee, industrial production in Kyrgyzstan amounted to 69.8 billion KGS in January, an increase of 12.7% compared to the same period last year.
The growth was driven by increased output in a number of manufacturing and extractive industries. In particular, there was an increase in the production of wood and paper products, printing products, rubber and plastic products, construction materials, chemical products, transport vehicles, and refined petroleum products.
Positive dynamics were also recorded in the production of food and tobacco products, pharmaceuticals, and base metals, as well as in the extraction of minerals.
Thus, industry remains one of the key drivers of economic growth at the beginning of the year.
We would like to add that, according to preliminary estimates, Kyrgyzstan's GDP in January 2026 amounted to 125.7 billion KGS, with industry accounting for 24.9%.
