11/03/2025, 10:23Kyrgyzstan exports only $30.00 per capita worth of medium- and high-value-added products, which is dozens of times lower than the global median level of $198.00, according to UNIDO data.
For comparison, Belarus exports such goods worth $1,489 per capita, Russia — $424, Kazakhstan — $351, Armenia — $253, while Tajikistan ranks last in the region with $6.00.
Experts note that these figures reflect the low level of industrialization in Kyrgyzstan and the country's weak integration into global value chains. Most of the republic's exports are still raw materials rather than processed or technological products.
Analysts emphasize that without the development of industries with higher added value, Kyrgyzstan risks remaining outside the high-income segments of the global economy, dependent on commodity prices and external demand.
