09/08/2026, 18:12Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan intend to explore the possibility of supplying Kyrgyz beans to the Pakistani market. The export potential for this product is estimated at over 50,000 tonnes.
The matter was discussed by Erlist Akunbekov, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Minister of Water Resources, Agriculture and the Processing Industry, and Altamash Vazir Khan, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan.
The parties intend to establish direct contacts between Kyrgyz producers and Pakistani importers, organise business participation in bilateral trade fairs, and determine possible volumes and terms of supply.
According to the Cabinet of Ministers, there is steady demand for Kyrgyz beans on foreign markets. In 2025, exports of these beans brought the country $67 million. The potential volume of supplies exceeds 50,000 tonnes.
The meeting also discussed the implementation of agreements reached during high-level visits. Kyrgyzstan and Pakistan plan to increase the volume of bilateral trade to $200 million over the next two years.
To achieve this goal, the parties agreed to step up deliveries of Kyrgyz agricultural produce to Pakistan. However, the specific volumes of bean exports and the start dates for deliveries have not yet been determined.
