03/03/2026, 15:29From 24 to 27 February, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade of the Kyrgyz Republic Mederbek Tumanov took part in Central Asia-UK events in London. During the meetings, investments and trade and economic cooperation in the implementation of joint projects were discussed.
The working trip took place in the capital London as part of the official delegation of Kyrgyzstan. One of the key events was a meeting at the headquarters of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, where Kyrgyz Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubayev held talks with the bank's Vice-President Matteo Patrone.
The parties discussed the implementation of existing projects in Kyrgyzstan and the prospects for expanding cooperation in priority areas of socio-economic development.
During the visit, the delegation also took part in meetings between the foreign ministers of Central Asian countries and the United Kingdom. In addition, a bilateral meeting was held between the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister and the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, Yvette Cooper.
The discussions focused on strengthening interregional cooperation, expanding trade and economic ties, sustainable development, energy and attracting investment to Central Asian countries.
