Kyrgyzstan raised nearly $981.3 million in sovereign financing—the highest amount in over 10 years

In 2025, Kyrgyzstan received $981.3 million in sovereign financing. This was the highest figure since 2013. This is reported by analysts at the Eurasian Fund for Stabilization and Development.

A total of 55 financing transactions were recorded over the course of the year. The bulk of the funds came from investment financing—about $800 million.

Sovereign financing includes funds that a country receives through international financial organizations and partners to implement government projects, infrastructure, and development programs.

Judging by the trends of recent years, the volume of such financing has grown significantly following more modest figures in previous periods.

Economists note that growth in investment financing is usually associated with the launch of major government projects, infrastructure modernization, and the attraction of external resources to support the economy.
