03/23/2026, 09:23Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Energy, Taalaibek Ibraev, held talks with the leadership of a number of Indian energy and technology companies on the sidelines of the Bharat Electricity Summit 2026.
Meetings were held with representatives of KEC International Limited, NHPC Limited, NTPC Limited and CraticAI Services Private Limited.
The parties discussed the implementation of investment projects in Kyrgyzstan’s energy sector, including the development of hydropower, renewable energy sources, the coal industry, infrastructure modernisation and the introduction of digital solutions.
Following the talks, two memoranda of understanding were signed – with KEC International Limited and CraticAI Services Private Limited. The documents provide for the development of cooperation and the elaboration of joint projects in the energy sector.
As part of the visit, on 21 March the minister visited the NTPC Limited solar power plant in Noida, where he familiarised himself with electricity generation and storage technologies, including long-duration storage solutions.
It is noted that the visit confirmed Kyrgyzstan’s interest in expanding cooperation with Indian companies and introducing technological solutions for the development of the energy sector.
