06/03/2026, 10:19Between January and May 2026, Kyrgyzstan exported 18,880 tonnes of plant products subject to quarantine. Fruit and berries accounted for the bulk of these exports, according to relevant government agencies.
Apples accounted for the largest volume of exports, with 8,330 tonnes shipped abroad. Other major export commodities included strawberries (5,340 tonnes), sweet cherries (2,490 tonnes), apricots (825.7 tonnes), mandarins (647.1 tonnes), pears (542.7 tonnes) and grapes (250.3 tonnes).
Russia became the largest buyer of Kyrgyz produce, with 10,710 tonnes of fruit and berries supplied, accounting for almost 57% of total exports. Kazakhstan ranked second with 7,380 tonnes supplied, representing around 39% of exports. 1,790 tonnes of produce were exported to Uzbekistan, 34.8 tonnes to Tajikistan and 0.2 tonnes to Qatar.
For the Russian market, the main commodities were strawberries, apples, cherries and apricots. The largest exports to Kazakhstan were apples, strawberries, pears and cherries.
