However, migration processes continue, and many citizens who have returned from Russia are looking for work in other countries.
“Our ministry has a center for the employment of citizens abroad, which cooperates with four private agencies. As a result, last year about 20,000 people left to work in 29 countries,” Darmankul noted.
The most popular destination is the United Kingdom. Last year, England provided 40,000 quotas for foreign workers, of which 10,000 were allocated to citizens of Kyrgyzstan. This year, 2,500 Kyrgyz citizens have already left for seasonal work in the UK, and another 3,000 are planned to leave in the next wave.
In addition to England, labor migration also covers countries in Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and the list of popular destinations continues to expand. A complete list of countries is available through the Employment Center at the Ministry of Labor.
