The Housing and Utilities Committee heard a report on the execution of the republican budget for 2024

At its meeting today, 9 September, the Committee on Constitutional Legislation, State Structure, Judicial and Legal Issues and Regulations of the Jogorku Kenesh heard and endorsed the report on the execution of the Kyrgyz Republic's republican budget for 2024.

The information was presented by Deputy Minister of Finance Umutjan Amanbaev, who focused on the main budget indicators.

During the discussion, MP Guly Kozhokulova called on state bodies to allocate funding promptly in order to ensure the timely use of the allocated funds.

«This issue is particularly relevant for the health and education sectors», — she said.

MP Karim Khandzheza asked a number of questions related to attracting foreign investment. MP Dastanbek Jumabekov proposed strengthening measures to service domestic debt. MP Zhyldyz Sadyrbaeva drew attention to the need to increase financial support for subsidised villages, in particular for the purchase of medical equipment and agricultural machinery.

In addition, the committee reviewed and approved the draft constitutional law ‘On Amendments to the Constitutional Law ’On the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and Local Courts" in the first reading.

The bill was developed to promptly resolve issues related to changes in the composition of the Supreme Court of the Kyrgyz Republic and local courts, as well as the even distribution of the workload among judges.
