Kyrgyzstan to produce carpet: investment agreement signed

Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Trade took part in the signing ceremony of an investment agreement between the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund and Orion Grand LLC.

The agreement provides for the financing of a project to establish a modern carpet manufacturing enterprise. This is the first such project in Kyrgyzstan, as until now, carpets have been imported entirely from abroad.

The implementation of the project will enable the establishment of local carpet production, replace part of the imports, create new jobs and strengthen the country's industrial potential.
The total cost of the project is $3.2 million, of which $1 million will be financed by the Azerbaijan-Kyrgyz Development Fund.

Production will be focused not only on the domestic market of Kyrgyzstan, but also on exports to Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan and other countries.
