Kyrgyzstan and Hong Kong want to abolish double taxation in the countries

The Ministry of Economy hosted the second round of negotiations on the draft Agreement on Avoidance of Double Taxation between Kyrgyzstan and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the PRC. The main focus was on the elimination of double taxation of income and prevention of tax evasion.

The negotiations were successful: the parties reached agreements on all key aspects of the document. The agreement is important for the development of economic cooperation, creation of favourable conditions for foreign investors and protection of residents from double taxation.

The document includes provisions aimed at preventing abuse of tax laws and also provides for the exchange of information between the competent authorities of the two parties. This contributes to increasing trust, transparency and fairness in tax relations between Kyrgyzstan and Hong Kong.
