Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank to step up the fight against unemployment

Kyrgyzstan and the World Bank intend to expand employment opportunities and make social assistance more targeted. These issues were discussed by the Minister of Labour, Almaz Imangaziev, and the Bank’s Country Director, Hugh Riddell.

The meeting took place as part of the World Bank’s mission on the project to strengthen labour market and social protection programmes. The parties reviewed the interim results of their cooperation and discussed ways to improve the effectiveness of government programmes supporting the population.
