The funds are allocated subject to the achievement of specific targets and confirmation that agreed commitments have been met.
The reforms are aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of school education, modernising the system and developing modern skills among pupils. Priorities include STEM education, digitalisation, media literacy, environmental education and the development of ‘green skills’.
The grant received will enable the country to continue modernising its education system. Cooperation with the European Union is also aimed at developing human capital and creating the conditions for Kyrgyzstan’s sustainable socio-economic growth.
