The Mailuu-Suu Plant and the Khaidarkan Complex are to be modernised — the authorities have instructed officials to attract investors

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev has instructed officials to speed up the modernisation of OJSC ‘Mailuu-Suui Lamp Factory’ and OJSC ‘Khaydarkhan Mercury Complex’, to attract investors and to safeguard jobs. Issues relating to the development of these enterprises were discussed today at a meeting in Bishkek.

With regard to the ‘Mailuu-Suu Light Bulb Factory’, the meeting considered the allocation of funds from the Presidential Fund, an increase in the authorised capital, and the creation of an industrial park on the site of the factory.

A separate discussion focused on restoring the production capacity of the ‘Khaidarkan Mercury Complex’, which holds reserves of mercury, antimony and fluorite.

Following the meeting, government bodies were instructed to strengthen the financial position of the enterprises, accelerate the modernisation of production, attract investment and ensure the efficient operation of the plants.
