Small and medium-sized businesses accounted for 76.6% of Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover

The turnover from wholesale and retail trade—including automobile and motorcycle repairs—by small and medium-sized businesses in Kyrgyzstan reached 1 trillion 714.9 billion KGS in 2025. This is 27.5% more than in 2024, according to the National Statistics Committee.

SMEs accounted for 76.6% of the country’s total trade turnover. Of this, 33.1% was generated by sole proprietors, 31.9% by small enterprises, and 11.6% by medium-sized enterprises.

In the industrial sector, the share of output produced by small and medium-sized businesses was 24.5%, up from 20.8% in 2021. The total volume of industrial production by SMEs reached 201.1 billion KGS.

In the hotel and restaurant sector, the volume of services provided amounted to 63.4 billion KGS.
