04/10/2025, 17:49Nazarbek Malayev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Commerce, met with participants in foreign trade activities on controlling the turnover of dual-use goods at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce.
Nazarbek Malayev informed about the latest changes in the legislation in the sphere of export control. According to him, the National Control List of controlled products included additional 5 commodity positions, including certain types of machine tools that have dual-use properties.
The deputy minister emphasised the need to comply with the legislation in the sphere of export control, taking into account the obligations of the republic within the framework of international treaties on non-proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. He also noted the significant role of dual-use goods for sectors of the Kyrgyz economy, especially in the industrial, agro-industrial and mining sectors. In this regard, the State is exercising control over the intended purpose of dual-use goods. Liability measures will be taken against entrepreneurs who violate export control requirements in accordance with the legislation.
Also during the meeting the participants were provided with additional information on the sanctions lists of goods and persons of the UN Security Council, a number of foreign countries, connection or foreign trade operation with which may lead to negative consequences, including inclusion of companies in the sanctions list of such countries.
In addition, the meeting participants discussed the issues of simplifying the processes of obtaining authorisation documents, clarifications, expert opinions and identification of dual-use goods.
