12/06/2024, 07:47On December 5, Chairman of the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan Melis Turgunbaev met with representatives of the National Institute of Banking and Finance NIBAF.
The NIBAF delegation included Irshad Ahmad Aijaz, Chairman of the Shariah Council of the State Bank of Pakistan and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, Muhammad Arish Usmani, Head of the Islamic Finance Policy Department of the State Bank of Pakistan, and others.
The meeting discussed topical issues and prospects for the introduction of Islamic finance principles in Kyrgyzstan. The parties paid special attention to the measures necessary for further promotion of this model of financing, as well as the issues of professional training and advanced training of specialists working in this area.
For reference, NIBAF (National Institute of Banking and Finance) is a subsidiary of the Central Bank of Pakistan. NIBAF is a leading institute for training specialists of central and commercial banks and financial institutions.
